About the Program

Searching for Excellence

Centre County’s Outstanding Young Woman  Scholarship Program is held annually to honor Centre County’s Outstanding High School Senior girls.  This scholarship and honors program recognizes, awards, and encourages excellence while striving to promote self-esteem among these young women.

Building Your Future

The OYW Program offers numerous opportunities to strengthen your future.  Finalists win scholarships, improve public speaking ability, sharpen interview skills, and develop a greater awareness of self.  This program builds character, strengthens values, improves self-confidence, and encourages high school senior girls to set and achieve goals.
